Debra Engebos, Au.D.

Audiologist

I knew since I was young, I wanted to be in healthcare.  Throughout college I spent time shadowing different professions in healthcare and working as a CNA. Using science and interpersonal communication to serve others has been very fulfilling for me. I am so glad I found Audiology as a mix of science, technology and patient care coming together all in one.

As an audiologist, I enjoy listening to and getting to know each patient individually to best guide them in their hearing healthcare.   As we build a trusting relationship, it allows people to be comfortable in sharing their concerns.  In addition, I enjoy learning about new technology in the hearing healthcare industry to allow me to help address people’s individual concerns and needs with available solutions.  Having hearing difficulties can be hard and frustrating for people and I hope to be able offer them a personalized experience and custom solution.

I started my education at Michigan Technology University with a degree in biology and transitioned to UW Oshkosh to earn my Master’s Degree in Audiology. Later, as our profession grew, I earned my doctorate in Audiology from Arizona school of Health Science.  I worked as an Audiologist for 25 years in a clinical setting and have now joined Fox Valley Hearing Center. This is a wonderful practice dedicated to providing great care to those with any hearing concerns.

I grew up in the Fox Valley and have enjoyed raising a family here. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors. We can often be found out on the water or hiking in the area, enjoying lots of sporting and outdoor activities. I can’t wait to meet you and learn more about what you love to do, also.
